Enjoy Zumba© Monday’s Pounds Off Pulaski Meeting
January 20, 2017
Tomorrow is the third weekly meeting of Pounds Off Pulaski. Programs are designed to help participants with lifestyle changes, nutrition, and exercise so they can be successful in the program. After focusing on nutrition and lifestyle changes for the first two meetings, this week’s program will help participants enjoy exercise with a lively and fun evening of Zumba©.
The program will be held on Monday, January 23, in the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Conference Center on the basement level of the East Tower. Weigh-ins begin at 5:00 p.m., with the program to follow at 6:00 p.m.
Monday night’s meeting will give POP participants the opportunity to enjoy learning Zumba© together. The instructor is Teresa Hail from First Baptist Church Zumba©, which is one of our POP Community Partners. Licensed to teach both Zumba© and Zumba© Gold Fitness, Teresa leads classes two days each week at First Baptist.
Known for its Latin music and exhilarating, easy-to-follow moves, Zumba© is a fun and effective way to burn calories, strengthen muscles and bones, and get a good cardiac workout. Teresa will teach POP participants who are just learning the skill special modified moves to make for an entertaining and invigorating evening at a comfortable pace and intensity level.
Healthy refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the program.
