Lillian Marie Polston is LCRH First Baby of 2017
January 2, 2017
This New Year’s Day, Science Hill residents Shawna and Clinton Polston had more reasons to celebrate than usual.
Not only did they experience the joy of welcoming a new little baby into the world, their daughter had the honor of being the first baby born in 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Baby Lillian Marie Polston was born at 12:32 a.m. on January 1, 2017, weighing 6 pounds, 11.6 ounces.
Lillian is a special blessing for her parents as well as many other excited family members, including grandparents Princess Wilson and Danny Wilson, along with Karla and Allen Crawford.
Mom and Dad are thrilled to welcome their new daughter. Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital joined in the celebration by showering Lillian and her mom with gifts in recognition of this momentous first arrival. The hospital provided a beautiful bouquet of a dozen roses for mom and a variety of gifts for the baby.
“Each time a new baby is born, there is certainly cause for celebration,” said Susan Ramsey Wilson, LCRH director of marketing and community relations. “But, the first baby born in the New Year is always extra special.”
Wilson noted that the first baby born in the New Year is symbolic of the joy brought by all the little ones born throughout the year. “We deliver more than 1,300 babies each year at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital,” she stated, “And Lillian has certainly gotten us off to a good start for 2017.”
