BEE Award

Help us honor our exceptional team members!

The BEE Award can be given to any exceptional general or professional Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital staff member.

A staff member is a deserving recipient of this award when they consistently go above and beyond the norm and meet all of the following criteria:

• Treats every person with dignity, respect and loving-kindness
• Keeps colleagues and patients safe, in every sense of the word
• Empowers and invests in our people to help them grow and thrive
• Inspires collaboration to cultivate joy, pride and a sense of belonging
• Drives excellence through learning, innovation and continuous improvement
• Stewards our resources wisely so we can fulfill our mission

Who can you nominate?

Send us your story to nominate a team member who supports patient care, such as patient transportation, nurse assistants, guest relations, housekeeping, etc. Registered Nurses and Physicians are not eligible for this award. The BEE award is designed to complement the  DAISY award, which recognizes deserving nurses. Please describe a specific situation or story that demonstrates why you are nominating this team member.

What is the BEE award?

The BEE award was established in 2016 by nurses at Jewish Hospital to recognize staff members for Being Exceptional Everyday. The nursing staff wanted to show appreciation and acknowledgment of exceptional professionals within our organization. The BEE award is presented throughout the year to honor the extraordinary care provided by those who go above and beyond to make an impact outside their daily duties. The support of other care providers is the foundation upon which a patient’s healthcare team can maintain exceptional care and advocacy.

Just as the daisy relies on the bee, the nurses rely on the outstanding teamwork provided by other healthcare professionals.
