Skilled Nursing
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital offers inpatient skilled nursing care (SNF) is designed as a short-stay rehabilitation center for patients who are not strong enough to go home after their hospital stay while recovering from an illness or injury but are not sick enough to remain admitted to the hospital.
Soon after admission we assemble a team to define patient goals and discuss any potential barriers to progress. We create a care transition plan for each patient and customize it to ensure that patients will return home as quickly and safely as possible.
Commitment to Care
Most patients who recover at the Skilled Nursing Unit are able to regain their previous quality of life and return home to enjoy better mobility, less pain, greater joint flexibility, and faster recovery.
