Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH) is delighted to welcome Jaysie Smith, DO, to its dedicated medical team. Dr. Smith is a compassionate and skilled physician specializing in family medicine, with a strong commitment to serving patients from pediatrics to geriatrics and everyone in between.

Growing up in Somerset, Kentucky, Dr. Smith always dreamed of becoming a doctor. Her participation in programs like LCRH's Health Career Explorers during middle and high school solidified her decision to pursue a career in medicine. She is excited to return to Somerset and provide care to patients right here at home.

Dr. Smith earned her medical degree from the University of Pikeville- Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, KY, following her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.

Having recently completed her residency training in the Family Medicine Residency Program at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Dr. Smith is eager to provide personalized care rooted in clear communication. She believes in fostering long-term relationships with her patients while ensuring they receive high-quality healthcare in their own community.
