Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Marks the Opening of the New Infusion Center at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital

The Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new Infusion Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 101 Hardin Lane, Suite B, directly across from the hospital’s emergency room. This advanced facility is dedicated to providing patient-centered cancer care in a calm, nurturing environment.
At the Lake Cumberland Infusion Center, the mission is to deliver advanced infusion therapies with safety and compassion. Designed with patient experience in mind, the center features warm blankets, heated and massaging chairs, individual TVs, and privacy curtains for added comfort. Refreshments are available throughout visits, and patients are welcome to have a family member accompany them. Additionally, the conveniently located lab ensures quick blood draws, while the compassionate nursing staff collaborate closely with oncologists to offer the best treatment options.
Carolyn Sparks, CEO of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, expressed her enthusiasm for the opening, stating, “We are thrilled to unveil our Infusion Center as a key part of our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare. Dr. M. Mullai, a Hematologist-Oncologist at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, will play a vital role in the Infusion Center, ensuring that patients receive specialized care tailored to their unique needs.
The Infusion Center offers a wide range of services, including chemotherapy administration with customized treatment plans tailored to individual needs, immunotherapy and targeted therapy based on the latest research, and supportive infusions that provide anti-nausea medications, iron infusions, and more to ensure patient comfort. On-site monitoring ensures continuous care for a safe and pleasant experience.
