Travis Jackson, RN, Named DAISY Award Recipient for Extraordinary Nursing at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH) is proud to announce that Travis Jackson, RN, a dedicated member of its nursing team, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This national recognition honors nurses who go above and beyond to deliver compassionate, skilled care to patients and their families.

Travis comes from a hardworking family and learned the value of dedication and perseverance from an early age. He earned his nursing degree from LMU School of Nursing and has built a career centered on caring for others. Travis is passionate about helping his patients and making a positive impact in their lives. Outside of work, he enjoys playing video games, visiting Disney, and spending quality time with his wife and daughters. Above all, he is a devoted family man who works hard and cherishes making memories with the people he loves most.

Beyond his professional achievements, Travis is described by colleagues and patients as compassionate, dependable, and deeply dedicated to making a difference. His positive attitude and unwavering commitment to excellence embody the core values of nursing and reflect why he is a deserving recipient of the DAISY Award. He was nominated by a patient’s family member who stated, “During my husband’s recent hospital stay, we were fortunate to meet an RN named Travis Jackson whose dedication, empathy, and professionalism went far beyond what anyone could expect. His calm presence reassured us during moments of uncertainty, and his kindness reminded us that healing is not only about medicine, but also about human connection.” 

The DAISY Foundation recognizes nurses for their extraordinary contributions to patient care. Recipients at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital are celebrated in a special ceremony and receive a certificate, a DAISY Award® pin, an exclusive parking spot, and a hand-carved “A Healer’s Touch” sculpture.
