Kaelyn Dye, BSN, RN, Named DAISY Award Recipient for Extraordinary Nursing at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH) is proud to announce that Kaelyn Dye, BSN, RN, a dedicated member of its nursing team, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. This national recognition honors nurses who go above and beyond to deliver compassionate, skilled care to patients and their families.

A graduate of the Lindsey Wilson School of Nursing, Dye has built a career centered on caring for others. She began her nursing journey at Lake Cumberland as a nurse extern on the Behavioral Health Unit and has continued to demonstrate a commitment to exceptional patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and sons.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kaelyn is described by colleagues and patients as compassionate, dependable, professional, and deeply caring. Her positive attitude, willingness to help others, and commitment to excellence embody the core values of nursing and reflect why she is a deserving recipient of the DAISY Award.

She was nominated by a patient who stated, "During my stay, Kaelyn met me with a positive, knowledgeable attitude that helped develop my plan of care. She went above my expectations and made my stay pleasant. Her actions helped me know my care was cohesive and thorough throughout my stay. I observed this same compassion and attention to detail with every patient on the unit. Kaelyn's empathy and professionalism went far beyond what anyone could have expected."

The DAISY Foundation recognizes nurses for their extraordinary contributions to patient care. Recipients at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital are celebrated in a special ceremony and receive a certificate, a DAISY Award® pin, an exclusive parking spot, and a hand carved “A Healer’s Touch” sculpture.
